This program is intended to assist with projects that include multi-disciplinary topics, as well as joint initiatives with other organizations such as the Alabama Council on the Arts. 

Who? All Elementary and Middle School Art teachers in the Shoals may apply for an Art in Education Grant.

What? Art in Education Grants provide funding to assist with special projects that require supplies not included in the existing class budget.

How? The Kennedy-Douglass Volunteers are a non-profit 501(c)(3). Through local fundraising events such as Arts Alive, the KD Volunteers are able to provide support for the arts through this Art in Education Grant Program.

Upon completion of projects funded by the Art in Education Grant Program, recipients must provide all receipts of purchases made, along with a written or oral report to the Kennedy-Douglass Volunteers Grant Committee. Grant recipients will also be invited to display the children’s artwork during Arts Alive 2024!
