Día de los Muertos Educational Celebration

Florence Arts & Museums is hosting a community program where visitors can celebrate and learn about the Latine holiday of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The community is invited to explore the history and cultural significance behind the celebration of the holiday with various educational activities including authentic food tasting, flores de papel (tissue paper flowers) & papel picado (punched paper) making, ofrenda (altar) decorating, and more. This event will also feature Latine Art from the Kennedy-Douglass Art Collection and complimentary hot chocolate.

Join us on Saturday, October 31st, from 1 to 4 pm for a come-and-go event and activities related to Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We hope to see you there!
