Calling all Alabama Educators! Have you been interested in incorporating more Native American culture and history into your Social Studies curriculum, but are unsure of how to begin or how to stretch it across the curriculum? Join us at the UNA Regional Inservice Center and at the Florence Mound and Museum for an interactive teacher’s in-service with special guest teacher, artist, and storyteller, Anita Flannagan of the Eastern Band Cherokee Nation, Vice President of The Trail of Tears Association, former Cultural Chair Member of the Oka-Kapassa Planning Committee, and current Advisory Board Member of the Florence Mound and Museum. The workshop will be held on Monday, July 20th, 2026 from 9 am to 11 am, register online at http://bit.ly/3Qp0C5D, and receive professional development hours.
