Sunday, February 18 - THE ART OF ILLUSION Presentation and Activity.

Optical illusions are a beautiful union of science and art. We often think that optical illusions are closer to cheap magic tricks than they are highly revered works of art. Elizabeth Renault presents a program that explores different forms of optical illusions used to create remarkable works of art. Following, Barb Hendricks will lead a hands-on activity - M.C. Escher & Tantalilzing Tessellations. Explore the visual experiments of Escher as he creates new worlds for us: Worlds of shape and space and time.
