Gunboats, Pontoons, and Forgotten Skirmishes - Stories of Hood’s Campaign in Lauderdale County

Alabama.

Greg always interested in history considered history as a possible major years ago.   Greg majored in Chemical Engineering instead and worked in the Paper and Pulp industry for 30 years in multiple locations across the South East. Retiring back home, he got involved in researching “forgotten” history of the area. Greg’s ability to bring people, places, dates, and events to life is remarkable; Greg stories relates to the interest from his youth and the large amount of time he spent fishing the Tennessee River with his father.

Greg is involved with the with the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area (MSNHA) in setting up a Civil War Trail and has officer roles with the North Alabama Civil War Roundtable and the Sons of the American Revolution.
